Counting Our Blessings
If you are counting and
keeping track, I’d like to add a few names to our blessings list at Christ The
King.
I am sure that those who
attended the 11AM service on Easter would agree that we have a major blessing
in Autumn Bruni and the young women that make up the CTK Dancers. Their
offering was praise in motion and quite moving to everyone worshiping at that
service. The congregation’s response to “the lift” was audible.
If you missed the dance,
it’s on DVD. The group is a continuance of the dance group that performed
during “Rough Wood and Rusty Nails.” Autumn began choreographing the dance
weeks before Lent began, joined by Melanie Bruni, Ericka Hering, Maryah
Hansen, Jessi Jacobsmeyer, Victoria Marshall, and Alisha Slininger.

In February, rehearsals
began; Autumn taught the routine in a weekly 2-3 hour rehearsal after church
each Sunday. The result of all that hard work was an amazing, beautiful, and
inspiring addition to the worship on Easter Sunday. There will be more from
Autumn and the CTK Dancers in the future. If you have an interest in this
sort of ministry, check with Autumn.
Others who blessed the congregation with their talents and abilities this
Lent and Easter season are Hope Dobson and Jessica Leiser. Hope played the
flute on Good Friday for the voluntary “O Sacred Head Now Wounded.” Jessica
accompanied the choir on flute for the anthem “O Dearest Lord.” Jessica
recently participated in the Pinellas County Instrumental adjudications
receiving a “superior,” the highest rating awarded.
Blessings continued as
people answered the call for help for our choir. Our numbers rose to 16, the
most participation we’ve had in a while.
We have many people who
are blessed with talents and abilities. Thanks to all of you who blessed CTK
with those talents and abilities.
